Boca Raton Museum of Art

Boca Raton Museum of Art

In 2025, we designed and installed a unique butterfly garden at the entrance of the Boca Raton Museum of Art, located in Mizner Park. The garden showcases a variety of Florida native plants selected specifically to attract butterflies and other beneficial pollinators. The planting design highlights how native species support local ecosystems while creating a vibrant and educational landscape for visitors. Each plant was carefully chosen not only for its ecological benefits, but also for its beauty, resilience, and ease of maintenance. This thoughtful selection allows museum staff to maintain the garden with minimal effort while ensuring the space remains attractive throughout the year. The result is a living demonstration of how native plants can enhance public spaces while supporting butterflies, pollinators, and other beneficial insects.

Some of the species selection is listed below:

  • Florida Wild Coffee
  • Passiflora suberosa – Passion Vine
  • Marlberry
  • Coontie
  • Twinflower
  • Thatch Palm
